What is a Green Mentorship Program?

It is a volunteer initiative that connects experienced environmental mentors with organizations to enhance sustainability and achieve social responsibility goals. Mentors provide guidance and support organizations in implementing effective environmental initiatives.

No.Participation is entirely voluntary for both mentors and mentees

A mentor is an individual who possesses knowledge, experience and demonstrated competence in a field of environmental management and voluntarily agrees to participate in the Green Mentorship Program.

Mentors are expected to possess:
– Practical or professional experience in environmental management or related fields.
– Relevant technical knowledge or subject-matter expertise
– The ability to provide guidance and assistance.
– Interpersonal skills
Formal certification may be preferred but is not necessarily required unless specified by the program.

No. Participation in the Green Mentorship Program does not create an employment relationship, partnership, agency, or contractual obligation beyond the program terms.

A mentee is an organization (Brand Storytelling subscriber) that voluntarily agrees to participate in the Green Mentorship Program, subject to the Terms and Conditions.

No. Successful pairing with a mentor depends on the availability and discretion of mentors. The Company makes no guarantee or warranty that every mentee will be paired with a mentor. Participation in the mentoring program is entirely voluntary and does not ensure that a mentor will be assigned.

The Company makes no guarantee or warranty that every mentee will be paired with a mentor. Pairing is subject to availability and at the discretion of the mentor to accept or decline.

No. Because mentor participation is voluntary and pairing is dependent on availability, the Company shall not be responsible or liable for the unavailability of mentors.

Yes. Mentors have the discretion to accept or decline mentees in the pairing process.

1. This voluntary program is open to Brand Storytelling subscribers(Organizations) that intend to drive eco- friendly initiatives within their organization.
2. Only Brand Storytelling subscribers(Organizations) that are duly registered in Singapore and operate locally shall be eligible to participate in the program.
3. Brand Storytelling subscribers(Organizations) that are offshore-registered organizations shall not be eligible to participate in the program.

Interested mentors or mentees can register by completing and submitting the online registration form to the Company. Participation is entirely voluntary, and the successful matching process depends on the availability of volunteer mentors. The Company assumes no obligation in this regard.

Only Singapore citizens and Singapore Permanent Residents are eligible to register as mentors.

Only Brand Storytelling subscribers (Singapore-registered organizations) are eligible to register and participate as mentees.

Mentors gain valuable onsite experience, and collaborate directly with organizations to enhance their practical knowledge of environmental management and sustainability practices through the mentorship program.

Mentees (participating organizations)benefit from this voluntary program through cost effective environmental
management support.They receive guidance from experienced mentors, helping them strengthen their sustainability
and social responsibility

Typically, there are no fees associated with this voluntary program.However, any cost, if applicable will depend on the outcome of discussions and the terms agreed upon in the memorandum of understanding(MoU) or agreement between the mentor and mentee in relation to the scope of work and tasks involved.

Yes, once the Green Mntoeship Program is already in progress, an inactive Brand Storytelling subscription
will not affect the ongoing mentorship.The continuation of the program shall be subject to the terms and conditions
mutually agreed upon between the mentor and the mentee.

Commencement of the program shall be subject to the availability of mentors and a mutual agreement reached
between the mentor and mentee following their discussions .

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) is a formal, non-binding written agreement that sets out the purpose, scope roles, responsibilities, collaborative arrangements, expectations,confidentiality obligations, code of conduct, and other relevant terms mutually agreed upon by the parties. It establishes an operational framework outlining the respective commitments of each party in pursuing the agreed objectives and goals. Generally, the MoU shall remain valid for a period of one(1)year from the date of execution, unless earlier terminated by either party in accordance with its terms. The mentor and mentee shall jointly determine and agree upon the timeframe of the project.

The duties and responsibilities of a mentor include defining the organizational context, setting clear goals and objectives, establishing communication protocols and meeting frequency, monitoring performance, evaluating progress and recommending corrective actions, maintaining confidentiality ,promoting continuous improvements and fulfilling other requirements to support the success of the mentoring relationship.
The mentor shall exercise independent professional judgement in the discharge of their responsibilities.

The duties and responsibilities of a mentee shall include active involvement in the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the environmental management system, including the aspects of organizational context, leadership commitment, planning process, support of resources, operational controls, performance evaluation, improvements, reporting of progress and fulfilling other requirements, as and when required.

No. Mentors provide guidance based on their personal experience. The Company is not responsible for decisions made by mentees based on mentors advice

Yes. The Company reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the mentorship program at its discretion.
